Charlotte Beecham, founder of Charlotte Simone, has built an enviable reputation in luxury fashion with her limited-edition coats featuring vegan fur trims, bold designs, and vintage-inspired silhouettes. Known for their exclusivity, her coats are released only three times a year, with over 10,000 customers vying for pieces each drop. Operating from her Marylebone office alongside her team and her loyal dachshund, Harold, Beecham describes 2024 as one of her best years since founding the brand nearly a decade ago.
The pandemic reshaped her business model, forcing her to pivot from a wholesale operation to a sustainable, drop-focused approach. By sharing unique samples on Instagram, Beecham tapped into a new market of customers seeking one-of-a-kind, seasonless pieces. This pivot not only revived her business but also gave her creative freedom, allowing longer development times and higher-quality designs that resonate with her growing community.
Charlotte Simone’s designs have caught the attention of high-profile fans like Taylor Swift, Sienna Miller, Madonna, and Dua Lipa. Beecham reflects on these moments, describing them as validation of her hard work and resilience. However, she acknowledges the behind-the-scenes struggles, from shipping delays to production challenges, as a necessary part of the process.
Beecham credits her success to patience, adaptability, and her close-knit team. As a new mother, she’s learned to juggle the demands of business and parenting, striving to inspire her all-female team and championing women in leadership roles across the luxury sector. “I hope to see more women in positions of power and as decision-makers in this industry,” she says, while continuing to push her brand forward with her passion for creative storytelling.
